Do you give weapons to weaponless figures?

I just got Groove, and I really like him, but it bigged me that he (and frankly all the current legends figures) didn't have a gun.

So I took one of the guns from legends Thundercracker and this is the result:





I think it works really well, and it looks like G1 Groove's weapon.
Screw Thundercracker, this is Groove's gun now!

nice, but you need 2 of those. my 1st edition Bulkhead a.k.a. road buster has evasion mode OPs shotgun.

I do. I like all figures to at least have one weapon so lately I have taken from some to give to others

1) Generations Nemesis Prime - 2 blue rifles from extra Prime Cyberverse Prime
2) Powerglide - Nemesis Prime gun
3) Generations Cliffjumper - BB's gun from the Parallax G3 trailer
4) Henkei Hound - aerialbot gun
5) Skrapnel - Dragstip's sword
6) Tailgate, Bombshell, Gears, Swerve & Viper all have leftover Sharkticon weapons (didn't like the space shuttle weapon thing)

Apparently what is also a good idea that I've heard from other boardies is buying perler beads, put them in the hands of the Legends figures and use Kre-o guns, it works great from what I have seen. I just buy extra Primes and Cliffjumpers for their extra weapons from Winners.

Yeah Prime Sinister mentioned that and it's a great idea but I figured since some figs are in alt modes and their weapons don't store well or anywhere it would just be easier to use them somewhere else rather than going out and buying Kre-o figs

I give weapons to my weaponless figures too. I also use Hot Wheels creature cars like the Scorpedo, Shark Cruiser, Eevil Weevil in my display as well. The Hot Wheels color changer Buzzkill makes a good place holder for Kickback.

True, but you can't mount two weapons on him in vehicle mode. That's why he only has one.

I usually take weapons away from my figures. Not always mind you, but sometimes. While some characters have their signature weapons, I think a lot figures have more personality without weapons.

All the time. Plenty of great mix and match opportunities. That's why collecting figures that come with their own personal armory are a gem like Generations Roadbuster and AOE Hound. Bring characters like this into your collection and it's a party for every bot. Also 3rd party accessory kits come in real handy too, especially for melee weapons.
