Re: TF5 Transformers The Last Knight discussion (spoilers inside)

Saw the movie on Wednesday and... it was a lot. There was sooooo much going on in the movie it was a little hard to focus on the plot. That said, I thought the cast was the best of any of the movies, and the last act was breathtaking. It wasn't "high art", but it was lots of fun.

I think the best way to sum up my feelings on this movie is to go with Shakespeare believe it or not. This quote from MacBeth was one of the first things I thought of when I went to see the movie:

"It is a tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
signifying nothing".

LOL!
Optimus just took
that yellow robot's face!!
Honestly, watching TLK was just like huffing spray paint. Entertaining and jaw dropping at first, then it tailspins into a very bad idea as you realize you're actually dumber now.

Too true. The Bard (and Omegatron) has it!

Re: TF5 Transformers The Last Knight discussion (spoilers inside)

I did a few Google searches and could not find any lists of all the new TFs appearing...

Who is the junkyard CAT backhoe?

Does 'Daytrader' have a name... probaly not named Wreck-Gar right?

Do the tiny Dinobots have names?

What is the name of the WW1 tank that transforms in England?

Also when they're attacked later, the old plane has transformed along with the tank. Name?

Dragonstorm/Knights unnamed too right?

Infernicus individual bots probably have no names?

Did I miss any?

Re: TF5 Transformers The Last Knight discussion (spoilers inside)

Just watched the film and thought it was great. Number one thing that stood out to me was the world building - it actually feels like there are dozens upon dozens of robot characters now to play with going forward.

Storytelling, as usual, was a bit all over the place. The movie as a whole was very ambitious and it hit all the right Transformers/Bay notes for me. Impressive visuals, fun comedy, lots of Transformers lore coming into play.

Looking very forward to watching it on DVD to slow things down a bit and get a better look at the cool stuff that sped by.

Also, not relevant since we'll never see anything from it again.

Much like Onslaught, spare CGI to add in, or even Bonecrusher from the 07 movie that also made it in to ROTF and DOTM.

I think just Daytrader but Steve Buchemi sounds like the voice of him.

Nevermind names, WHERE did they come from? Did the Dinobots have an orgy and knock a bot up?

Skullitron and that other deluxe figure Steelbane are probably names.

Maybe the box art will say so...even though they are entirely different.

Why is Walburg the Last Knight when all he does is stop the knights from killing Optimus and literally only that. Like...does he have an even higher purpose? I mean, the Primes sent Sam back to reignite Primes spark with the Matrix, why isn't he a knight? I mean, I wasn't expecting him to battle bots with swords, but he just stopped one.

Re: TF5 Transformers The Last Knight discussion (spoilers inside)

I saw it today and I was the only one in the theater. The movie was good not great Power Rangers is better. There are a lot of plot holes that are not explained lots of unanswered questions. They introduce new characters then do not use them properly or hardly show them on screen. I liked the Decepticon motorcycle I think his name is Mohawk. There was no movie tie ins example cup toppers, popcorn bowls etc at least not at Cineplex theaters.
