Re: G1 discussion thread.

@Chans - I envy you that Landcross. I'm still pissed that I missed the reissues. Now I'll have to settle for a KO.

@GrimlockGT - I need most of those Headmasters too, especially the Juniors.

How about the entire 84-85 line up?

Notice the launcher, brr-icy?!

I miss my G1 figures. Re-collecting them as reissues when possible

I've gotten a few reissues, but for certain figures, I've found they are a lot more expensive than a vintage figure. Like sixshot, I paid $60 for a complete vintage one, .

Shockwave_75 do you collect show characters only? Or are you going for the complete line? Have a deal in the works for the omnibots roadbuster, whirl, and a bunch of 86/87 figures within the next month or so, can't wait. Some if the off screen molds are great. And whirl and roadbuster are some of my favorites

I have recently shifted my focus to the show characters, but I do have some non-show's. I'm trying to complete my Whirl, I recently had a Roadbuster in that same lot your Slag came from, but there are just too many accessories to track down for him so I sold him.
I need to complete my Downshift, and I need a Camshaft to complete my Omnibots.

I have found, for me at least, that having a focus causes less collecting anxiety. Like I technically need Hubcap to complete the '86 Minibots, but since he was never on the show, I don't stress about it. He's also surprisingly expensive! As is Gnaw for some reason. Can someone please explain to me why one of the worst toys of the '86 line goes for over $90 loose?

For my '86 guys I need all the more expensive characters. Headmasters, Targetmasters, except for the movie cast TM's. I had TM Blur & Hot Rod but I recently sold them because I also have the normal Blur & Hot Rod, and I don't do duplicates.

Re: G1 discussion thread.

Awsome G1 stuff. Once I get my downsizing completed and sold off. I'm going to stick with G1 and RiD I think. Sprinking of Unicron Trilogy stuff and leave it at that. I'm just liking the older stuff a lot more.

my show cast is close to complete already minus season 4. but i want a complete american, euro, and japanese g1 collection eventually. it was easy to build it up this year, prime and foc are doing nothing for me, mostly thanks to the size and quality decrease

my theory is because he was one of the worst g1 figures, not as many people bought him, and now people need him to complete their collection and there are army builders out there as well

i need a lot of the -masters figures, but i'll take them slow at $100 a pop, or try for crazy deals

nice, i've pretty much cut down to g1, mps, and 3rd party. the rest of the lines i have are either done, or i don't care enough to finish them

Re: G1 discussion thread.

I forgot about the Masterpieces. I'd like to keep up with them as well. But I think I will have to tough it out for Hasbro versions if I can find them.

Who? I think you left out the beginning of that sentence.

I think he was referring to Gnaw, but I could be wrong.

Great collections guys. I'm focus on Classics/CHUG, but I do have some G1/Reissues. I'll try to snap a pic.
