Haven't posted here for a bit, but I believe this'll wrap up my hauls for 2017; I have no other packages in-transit at the moment (I try to avoid having this shipped during the X'mas season anyways).
From November 26th:
-
FF7 Advent Children Cloud Strife Amiibo (JP version) [
MISP, from fellow member
pulsedragon20]
I don't normally collect Amiibos, but I finally now have both Clouds!
The only other ones I have are Ryu and both Bayonettas.
From November 30th:
-
[Switch game] Azure Striker Gunvolt - Striker Pack [
MISP, from
Amazon.ca]
Been meaning to get the 3DS version, but when they announced the Switch version, well, that was it.
I guess this is some sort of spiritual successor to the Rockman Zero/ZX games; love the art and animation style.
From December 4th:
-
LCModels Gemini Saga [
MIB, from a fellow member on TFW2005]
I was on the lookout for a KO Myth Cloth EX Gemini Saga, and a fellow member on TFW2005 generously offered theirs to me as a gift (I just paid shipping).
It's really light (all-plastic, the only die-cast is the feet), there's no object-mode, and feels more like a model kit than anything (I think it kind of is), but it nonetheless looks pretty darn good as a display piece.
From December 21st:
-
8bitdo SFC30 Gamepad [
MISB, from
Amazon.ca]
-
8bitdo Retro Receiver [
MISB, from
Amazon.ca]
Even though I don't use those stock SNES Classic Editions controllers with their stupidly short cables (I use a Wii Classic Controller Pro, actually), I got one of these because they're also Switch-compatible.
I also have an SNES30 Gamepad coming in the new year from a colleague who just opened up a retro games online store; would've gotten it already but he's on vacation right now for the holidays
From December 22nd:
-
Chogokin Giga Armor X [
MISB, from
Nippon-Yasan]
-
Myth Cloth EX Seadragon Kanon [
MISB, from
Nippon-Yasan]
-
Happoubi Jin - Gashu Benicho Hoteri artbook [from
Nippon-Yasan]
I had no-preorder-regret on the Giga Armor X, but on release it looked so damn nice I ordered one from Nippon-Yasan since they had it in-stock.
I didn't originally plan to get Seadragon Kanon, but I ended up wanting some representation of Kanon in my Saint Seiya collection, and it was definitely easier/cheaper to get Seadragon than Gemini Kanon (some Tamashii event exclusive from a few years ago). Plus, I have a KO Gemini armor (above).
And big fan of Happoubi Jin's art; I have all of his artbooks. A "NSFW" warning ahead of time if you choose to Google his art.
And a great close to my hauls in 2017!
Hopefully 2018 will contain even more awesomeness!
