I am not sure that the kids of today really understood how big MJ really was back in the day. Too bad he got so wierd.

As strange as the dude got I'm saddened by this. Loved Thriller back in the day and the song and vid is still a halloween tradition.

Ironically I had heard he was going to be working on a new music album to more or less re-launch his career.
As weird and bizarre MJ was, he did contribute a whole lot. Music videos were never the same after Thriller, and a bunch of other stuff he did pioneered the way for later artists.
He got strange as he aged, becoming a caricature of himself and then went even further beyond eccentric and into a realm of zaniness occupied only by himself.
But the thing that sticks with me most about him is the MJ vs MJ fight on Robot Chicken.
Indeed, how were they going to take over the world with a white MJ? Now we shall never know.
