No shocker here. Bare shelves and pricing that isn't competitive... what could possibly go wrong?

That was quick. The optimist in me was hoping they'd pull things together eventually.

The one near me was reasonably busy, although not at Walmart levels. They used to have good sales too on all sorts of merchandise...when they had stock.

The Canadian retail landscape is sorely in need of more competition.

I feel you can blame the internet for that.. I too remember the good days.... sadly I bet TRus is next to sadly go too... and with Canada post pulling house delivery things are surely going to suck more before it gets better if it every will not feeling the Canadian love at all right now

your right but You cant just go and buy out a failing company and bad business model (Zellers) and expect to make things great... they should have done what best buy did and open only a coupe of stores and slowing open more.. and for gods sake don't follow Zellers models...

Re: Target is leaving canada

you can bet there will be no incentive for $10 deluxes any more.
Target by my home and work are still void of any Transformer restock of any kind since Dec, so i doubt there will any restock moving forward - why send inventory to Canada that will need to be liquidated when it can be directed to the U.S. stores. Shelves full of the un-transformable ones they can't sell. Their corporate buyer guessed wrong with those items. "A Transformer that can't transform? We'll order lots."
