Re: knock offs?
So I bought a few junker tfs for repairs.
From left to right we have, Dirge, Thudercracker, and....?
He's clearly a different colour, I'd say more greenish? It's even more pronounced in person. All three have the same Takara 1980, 1983 datestamp. The middle one is the same shade as my own G1 Thudercrakcer, and the first one is the same shade as my G1 dirge.
So, who do I have there on the right? KO? Diaclone? Italian diaclone? Severely sun-damaged?

Re: knock offs?
check it out!knock off legends class cybertron leobreaker, scourge and brimstone.they're packaged in giant 3"titanium styled bubbles and called "android super transforming robot".the art work on the inserts even mimick the tf 3"titanium style.the plastics used are surprisingly pretty good but the paint apps and actual gapping/seams of the figures really sucks.i must have dug through the whole rack of them to find 3 suitable treasures.(what do you expect for a buck? )i already have plans for leobreaker and scourge but i may leave brimstone untouched as i cant recall whether or not he was released by hasbro.(btw, all 3 were picked up at your local dollarama.)

Re: knock offs?
I saw the wierdest knock-off when I was in the states last week that were blown up cybertron legends figures as well....but they combined! :P
Wierd thing was that they used 2 Hot Shots for the arms, 2 Optimus's for the legs, a custom torso/waist piece to combine them with and a head, with Soundwave in alt mode as a chest piece.

I've been trying to get ahold of a few knockoff Scourges and Brimstones to repaint. I love their dragon molds, and they're cheap enough, so why not? The retarded Dollaramas in both London and St. Catharines are always out though
