This thread totally wrecks the romanticized image I had of the Transformers cartoons. I think it is also the reason why I stopped re-watching the cartoons as an adult after 3 episodes.

I'm going to stop reading this now before I find out Optimus Prime is a racist and Ratchet drowns puppies and kittens.

Yes, as a 7 year old and my 4 year old Brother, that was the moment for us. We became Men that day or at least until we discovered girls.

In the 2 episodes 'The Return of Optimus Prime', it seemed way too easy for a Quintesson just to revive him.

Plus I don't think I ever got a clear explanation of why Optimus Prime's body is in pristine condition sitting inside a spaceship.
