Re: Devastator at Toy Fair 2015 Hasbro Event

Extremely convinced after seeing these individual bot mode. The combined mode was already great, and now these are like gravy on French fries! These guys look very G1, they are like an updated version of their G1 counterparts. THanks Hasbro for putting their effort on these toys.

Who? No Heavyload in here man... not unless you count my butt, but that's Wideload.

Not digging the hollow bits for Voyager figures, but nothing here that's making me not want to pick this up.

Hopefully there will be some improvements in the figures before they do a production run.

Maybe you can wait for the photos from Takara, I can already tell with more paint and detail on these guys can make a huge difference. Just like what they are going to do with CW Superion, I am holding out on the Hasbro one and planning to get the Takara.

I'd hold off for Takara's more cartoon accurate version too, unless Costco has this for Xmas at great discount.

Loving this G1 update! Never got the G1 version cause of build quality concerns, so this is what I've been hoping for.

The elbows look right out of 1986. This just make me realize how over the G1 aesthetics I am. Devastator himself is great but the individual robots look to be an unholy fusion of G1 design and modern cost cutting measures. Not a good blend for me.

Looks great to me! I'm just not sure what is going on with MixMasters alt mode, is that a real world cement mixer design?

I like what Is see. Devastator in a whole is amazing. The invidual figures still have their flaws but are well represented. I hope he will be availble at Costco with a price similar to Metroplex because I really want it and if I can " compensate" for the little savings hasbro did there and there, it would be nice. Whatever, I'II buy it anyway because i like to get official releases and I can't afford third parties.

Re: Devastator at Toy Fair 2015 Hasbro Event

Yep, I'm sold on this one. Sure there are flaws, but I don't think this version of Devy is any more flawed than the other options. And even, if they are slightly more flawed, the price being less than half the other options more than makes up for it.

I really like the look they've given to each of the bot modes (minus a few awkward elbows and fatty-mus Long Haul, and even LH still looks decent). The alt modes look good and Devy overall looks good as well. My only small complaint is the Mixmaster foot, it would have been nice to be able to fill it out a bit more.

Will still be an insta-buy.
