Displays and adhesives

I know there's already a thread showing off personal Transformer displays, but I'm more interested in whether or not people have actually gone the extra mile into making their displays semi-permanent; has anyone here used any sort of glue or museum wax to keep figures from toppling over? Any recommendations for brands? Any side-effects or figure damage?

Re: Displays and adhesives

I have had a couple of pieces that the legs would retract on (ie. sandstorm) under the toys weight or a canopy that is loose (provided that the screws cannot help by tightening) I have used a small snippet of paper folded or plastic card cut small and placed in the space/joint to stiffen it up done correctaly it will be almost invisable and unlike glue etc will neither harm the toy or prevent dusting.

I was thinking about that, but I've had that stuff ruin posters; I can't imagine what it'd do to plastic.

I dunno. I'm thinking I might just grab some museum wax, test it out on something cheap (some old GI Joes, or something), and see how things turn out before sticking my Transformers to shelves.
