Chevy Aveo Swerve

my first review so here we go...

History

2007 originally surfaced in China as a freebie for test driving a Chevy Aveo

2008 In Europe, a freebie figure for test driving an Aveo. Left overs from the promotion were sold online through Chevy's website which sold out quickly.

2009 For Canadians living in the Toronto area, the Swerves were one of several freebies used to get people to fill out an entry to win a 2010 Camaro.

Vehicle Mode
- is a 4 door 2007 Chevy Aveo
- very detailed with the Chevy logo on the front and back
- has clear plastic for the head lights and painted tail lights
- Autobot logo on the hood of car

Robot Mode
- not much to him in bot mode. no special gimmicks but he does look awesome
- front of car becomes the chest like many other TF figures out there
- grey and black robot parts mixes well with the red car parts.

Pros
- great transformation
- clear blue windows
- good articulation
- great looking head sculp
- has a non-movie look to it

Cons
- come with no weapons or any other accessories
- head can't turn left or right without having him force to look up
- Autobot logo is very faint and hard to see

Re: Chevy Aveo Swerve

Hey, nice 1st review!
Really appreciate the history of this toy, as it's very important for Canadians.

I can't see the pics, but maybe it's just me.

I agree with the non-movie Pro and the rest.
Very agree that his logo is a Con. It's really shameful that it doens't show it better for all it's logo glory.

Myself, I think the head is very movie-esque. The body, not so much though.

Re: Chevy Aveo Swerve

I put him in my classics line, he seems right at home there.

Yeah, bummer about the red on red logo though.

Re: Chevy Aveo Swerve

This is a great toy but unfortunalty proved to be a wasted mold as Hasbro only used it for this one bot.

I really love this mold. It was great of the TFCON staff to have this mold(sacrificed) as the custom class figure for this year. We transformed him into G2 Flash, turned out really great. I have them displayed with my classic/universe/generations line autobots.
