The official Gundam model kits/figures thread

There must be a Gundam model kits/figures thread to go with the Soul of Chogokin one So I started this.

I have been a fans for years, starting from the very beginning (ok, no guessing on how old I'm please ). It all started w/ a 1/144 RX-78 model kit when I was a kid in Hong Kong. I did loose interested in the Bandai model kits after the Zeta Gundam series in the 80's and stopped for a while but Gundam always have a soft spot in my heart (I do follow the anime series for years, esp. the ones center ed around the UC era). I made a mistake in getting a couple of US MSiA figures on sale @ RCSS a few years back and it all get jump-started back to life. Now, I have a quite a few MSiA/EMSiA and Fix Figuration figures next to my TF collection. Not to mention the pile of unfinish SD Gundam, HGUC and a couple of MG model kits sitting in the room.

Anyway, so who is into the Gundam world of model kits and figures/toys?

Re: The official Gundam model kits/figures thread

Back in 1996, my first Gundam model kit was Gundam Wing Epyon (LOONG before Gundam even touched base here), I bought it cause it "transformed". After that I bought Wing Vayeate and then slowly learned about the UC stuff. and well....... BOOM.

Re: The official Gundam model kits/figures thread

I only have 2 model kits : MG Zeta (version 2.0) and PG Zeta. I built the MG myself, it was quite fun and challenging. I'm not a pro though, so I don't shave or paint the plastic and stuff. I got the PG fully assembled. Awesome kit, it's more impressive than MP-03 Starscream in my opinion. Bigger, more imposing, electronics, huge gun, poseable. I love the poseable fingers and the way the head panels shift around to expose the inners. Now I want the first version of the MG Zeta, and also the MG EX-S Gundam and the blue MG version of the Zeta (forgot which model it is exactly).

My first gundam kit was 1/144 scale Tall Geese III from gundam wings endless walts. and it grew from there.

gundam model kits and Warhammer 40K is what got me into kit bashing.

Re: The official Gundam model kits/figures thread

I think i got started around 90's with one HG 1/100, one from the wing series and ended up building all the HG 1/100 wing series. I thought that was it until one unfortunate day I discovered MGs. Til this day i'm still at it.

Pretty much the same for me, except it was a 1/144 HG Wing Zero Custom that I found at a stand at the Chinese New Year Festival place. I've liked Gundam models ever since. I don't buy/build many though, I mostly have a bunch of random kit. Only one MG so far too.
