Well, like I was thinking, if I made a run of these for sale, it would take alot of time to put them together and paint them up. Thats what I meant by complicated. :\ I'm still looking into how to produce the prime/megatron set. So maybe I'll learn some stuff from that which might make this set easier to make.

Re: Hardhead vs Skyfall (WIP)

Update on Skyfall's head. Got the detailings done. I could definitely use feedback from you guys. What do you think? Too much? To little, or should I just leave it as it is? Any detail design you guys feel should be removed or changed? Let me know.

I like it. It fits well with the Classics style, without being too much or movieverse like.

Re: Hardhead vs Skyfall (WIP)

Would this be a head swap or work like a helmet just covering the current one? As a head replacement there will be some LEDs that need to be removed...

Thanks for your feedback.

Its going to be a headswap, and fit around the current neck structure inside, and use the LED lighting as well. As long as you have a screwdriver, then all you do is unscrew the old head, and put this new one on so it fits in the same way the original did. This new head will be three pieces. Front, back, and translucent face shield.

Yeah, I was thinking that while working on it.

So I decided to change the head. Someone pointed out something in regards to the G2 head design. After finding some good references, I changed the visor area. Below, the left helmet is the original, and right one is the modified.

I'm liking both of these. I would buy the Hardhead stuff in a hearbeat... especially if you manage to pull off a Headmaster out of the deal.

I started working on Duros yesterday. I got a cool idea for his transformation into Hardhead's head. It will just take some time to figure out the joints. If I can get it to work, I'm sure it'll be a true classics style headmaster.

Finished the head for Skyfall. Below are some renders showing it off in color, and the actual assembly on the neck joint.

I'll be starting his sniper rifle next. I started playing around with the transformation for Duros into his head mode. I got half of it figured out. The pivot points for each joint is being a pain to figure out.

Dude, that raps!!

The colours look good, but all the gray is lacking something. I suggest adding black to the antenna/sides or the visor face border.
That's what I imagine, but your software would work better!
