Re: MP-05 Megatron re-issue

If you have the MP-01 mold of Optimus Prime/Convoy see a)

If you don't have the MP-01 mold, see b) or my haiku about MP-05

Answers:
a) Begrudgingly yes. He scales exclusively with the MP-01 mold but get the JustiToys aftermarket stock and silencer and never touch him
b) Fuck no, unless you're a big Megatron fan

Re: MP-05 Megatron re-issue

From what I've read and seen online, it is the exact same mold as the original MP-05. Maybe a few paint tweaks but the same nonetheless.

Keep in mind that this re-release will NOT scale well with the new Masterpiece figures such and MP-08 and on. Note MP-05 Megatron will be roughly 2 inches taller than MP-10 Optimus Prime.

I wonder if they fixed the "tarnishing" feet issue??

Re: MP-05 Megatron re-issue

I'm just waiting for him to be re-issued in proper scale. That orange plug though...is that thing actually glued in there? There must be some way to get it out without messing up the figure too much.

If he didn't have the issues of rusty feet and all that, I woulda considered him. But you just know they'll do a redesign, just like MP10.

Has anybody got any actual facts on the amount of stickups or robberies using toy guys?...

I hope in 2015 we get the Megatron re-issue we've been craving.

Re: MP-05 Megatron re-issue

I know the gun laws in the States are restrictive, but does anybody know about toy firearm laws specifically for Canada?

He will come through customs as a toy robot, not in gun form. And unless the agent opens the box, looks at the photos...if it even GETS opened at the border, I don't think they'd seize it.

What do you guys think?

Never had any issues with MP-05, and he kicks ass with the upgrade kit that gives him even more die-cast in the legs.
