Excellent show, thanks for getting us all hyped for it! I sold half my stuff, did pretty well. Thanks to all the people who bought my stuff, and RocketGTR for splitting my table! Even though he had enough stuff for a whole one.

Good show all around today, even more Transformers tables than the March show. I sold pretty well myself, sold all my masterpieces that I brought except 1.

Great show today. One line of vendors was all toys. Huge increase in toys and collectibles for this show! Hopefully we can keep the momentum going, together as a community. The next Pop Culture show is in October. However, Vancouver Comic Show, will be in June at the Croation Center.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

Amazing day and the vendors all seemed to have a great time and lots of good feedback from buyers. The guest was busy selling artworks and performing commissions too.

As indicated by Venksta, this is the list of dates for the remaining year:

June 18 (Sunday): Vancouver Comic/Toy Show at the Croatian Centre
October 14 (Saturday): Pop Culture Collectibles Fair at the Scottish Centre
October 29 (Sunday): Vancouver Comic/Toy Show at the Croatian Centre
November 25 (Saturday): Pop Culture Collectibles Fair at the Scottish Centre

The two shows co-promote with one another and the organizers are vendors at one anothers shows. As mentioned by many others above, TFs and vintage toys were highly featured at today's Pop Culture Fair, and the Van Comic/Toy Show two months back had a fair portion of Transformers in their newly expanded second room.

Theres also the very large Cherry Bomb Ultimate Toy Fair Sunday May 7 in Victoria.

Hey guys, any idea how I could go about preserving my print? I suggested having it laminated but my buddy said that sometimes those could go wrong and ruin the art. I looked into custom frames but Michael's seems to be a little expensive. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Marcelo Matere commissioned Star Saber

It was a great toy show btw, made out with some swag from Kirben and some sick vintage Evangelion stuff. Thanks everyone for coming, looking forward to the next!

I am not sure how to preserve prints so i will leave others to answer. But its nice you got a commission from Marcelo.

Great that you got stuff from Kirben and the Evangelion. Didnt know how many anime mecha fans would come out -- was that you looking at my bagged robotech/macross stuff? Lol.

Nice piece!
I saw him working on that in the early stages.
Michael's has 40% off framing sales quite often if you keep a lookout

Come to think of it youre right - i bought a shadowbox for a signed canucks jersey years ago that were regular 129.99 that later cleared to 89.99.

For prints though it will be much, much cheaper as what i bought was a 24" x 36" and 2" thick frame. The example im giving is just to show the relative proportional discount you can get if you wait around for it. And the 40% sales do occur semi-regularly.
