Ya Walmart usually gets stuff first however without TRU there will be a lot less price-matching.

Honestly, for me it will be online or stop collecting. I despise Walmart that much.

Huh. That was unexpected. Fiscal reports have painted a clear picture that the US division was operating on a loss consistently year to year and they've only been staying afloat because international divisions had been subsidizing their loss. I was not aware that the UK arm was also struggling to balance their books. Would be interesting to see what their numbers have been over the last 5 years at least.

Re: The fall of Toys R Us ? UK branch enters administration
Aren't there still a few KB Toys open in the States? Like, a handful? I would hope TRU Canada would stick around... I mean if TRU goes we're left with a monopoly in Canada, and Wal-Mart policy is for old product to be rotated out fast. So, yeah... if we lose tru, Wal-Mart can sod off for all I care. I'm not relying on the never have sales unless old product needs to be clearance out masters for all my shopping needs.

Or maybe Hasbro.ca can pick up the slack. But I share the same sentiment, I don't need Walmart to be the only player in the field.

WM really isn't so bad except for the rampant toy swap and part thief.
