Help understanding Masterpieces
Hey guys!
I've read that the new Optimus Prime (MP-10?) is the start of a more accurately scaled Masterpiece collection and now we have MP-11 Starscream and MP-11S? Sunstorm coming.
Anybody know if the reporting on scale is genuine and what is the probability of Hasbro bringing these to the masses over here?
MP-11 Starscream appears to be the same size as his previous renditions... anybody have a picture of him standing beside the MP-10?
I'd love the MP-10 Prime but sans trailer and I'd be happy with the MP-11 without the coronation accessories which is how I would imagine Hasbro might package them to keep the price lower. Am I holding my breath waiting for these from Hasbro?

Re: Help understanding Masterpieces
well i'm definitely not an expert on this, but iirc hasbro has released their version of every masterpiece so far, so there'll eventually be an american version of mp-10.

Except mp5.
I'm sure mp10 will be here eventually.

MP-05, Megatron was never released, though that probably has something to do with it transforming into a gun.
In general we can assume that Hasbro will release at least one version of every mold, therefore we can probably expect a MP-10 sans trailer to be released, presumably under $100.

Awesome. Thanks.
I'm really looking forward to owning my first G1-style Optimus and Starscream.

Re: Help understanding Masterpieces
cant wait til the MP10 hasbro version! 300$ for the takara version is really too steep imo.. but then again the takara MP1 looks WAYYYYYYY better than the hasbro version
hopefully hasbro doesnt change too much on the mp10... I'll be completely happy to get it w.o the trailer for less than 100$

Re: Help understanding Masterpieces
Actually, Hasbro never released their version of Thundercracker. After picking up Skywarp I was hoping he was next so I could complete my NA seekers but due to dismal sales of Skywarp, it would not be.

Re: Help understanding Masterpieces
Wasn't MP-10 made to be in scale in MP-09 Rodimus. And MP-08 Grimlock?

yeah the new takara MP's will all be using the later MP scale- I assume MP 12 (Lambo) will be rodimus size or slightly smaller. we will probably see a G2 megs a little down the line (pure speculation)

Re: Help understanding Masterpieces
Sigh...scale is a frustrating thing for us collectors. In reality, I don't think there's any Transformers line that's been accurately scaled one figure to the next...
