Re: Where does your name come from...

My name comes from a can.
It was put there by a man,
in a factory down town.

I've had this nickname for a good long while, dating back to elementary school. Many people in my class had the same first name, and so we started going by our last names. Mine just got shortened to a single syllable.

As for picking any character names for anything, I tend to put a whole lot of thought into it. Even throwaway storage characters for Guild Wars. I mean, I have one named Iam Jst Holdin Itms.

Aximili is one of the characters from the greatest book series of all time: Animorphs. I grew up reading these books and I still love them to this day.

Most of you probably remember them from the crappy toys that came out under the TF banner or the mediocre TV show they made. But the books are fantastic and I'd recommend them to anyone.

My name comes From The Drop Kick Murphy song "The Spicy McHaggis Jig"

I use to listen to it alot, So my friends started Calling me Haggis (Spicy McHaggis was too long for them to say) it also doesn't hurt that i'm from Scottish Decent.

Re: Where does your name come from...

When I decided to join the online Transformers community, my 2 most favourite toys were Optimus Primal(I forget if it was original gorilla, TM, or Optimal, but they're all awesome) and the recent TRU Commemorative Series Ultra Magnus reissue(my first G1 toy). Even though I knew nothing about Ultra Magnus, at the time I thought his toy was amazing, for a brick. And they were the only Transformers with 2 names. So it was either Ultra Primal or Optimus Magnus. But Optimus Magnus sounds more like a Austrian weight lifter than an actual Transformer name.

Oh & to Phalanx, that's an awesome name regardless, so I hope it sticks for many more years.

Re: Where does your name come from...

I needed an email way back in 2000 that I could use for racing(I was elected thepresident of the northern alberta sports car club). Racerguy(what I was) and 76(they year I was born and the number on my race car). I thought about changing it to Racerbot76 for the tf forums, but I find it easier to use the same name for everything. I only have so much room left in my brain and everytime I put in something new, something old disappears. Like that time I learned how to make wine and forgot how to drive.

Re: Where does your name come from...

Was playing Star Wars: Republic Commando and found it to be one of my favourite SW games. Since Delta squad were all commandos and clones, I chose commandoclone ('87 is added as that is the year I was born.)

My Xbox Live tag is just a variation on this as PsyCLoNe1987 (psychotic clone 1987)

Re: Where does your name come from...

Well mine's easy, from three of my favorite G1 toys. Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, and Optimus Prime. It was either Sunswipe or Sidestreak. The latter sounded like something you see in dirty underwear so Sunswipe it was.
