Re: Confused with the different version of the ROTF DVD/Blu-Ray...
Imax version is in america only, what bullshit. I just got back from walmart (i work there too) they put out everything they got in (which they got in over a week ago)
there is no imax version, just the 2 disc special edition bluray. I even checked the modular planagram sheet, there isn't even a spot for it on the plan sheet.

Re: Confused with the different version of the ROTF DVD/Blu-Ray...
This is a travesty. According the Blu-ray.com reviews of the IMAX edition, it is the best PQ they have ever seen. In terms of the IMAX portions of the film. Even better than the Dark Knight.
I think this is a MUST own for any fan of the film, or just anyone buying it. My suggestion is trade for it or make a trip down south today!!! Apparently they are going fast too and are limited.

Re: Confused with the different version of the ROTF DVD/Blu-Ray...
BULLSHIT!
Why the hell do we always get screwed up here in Canada? There is NO reason for it! AT ALL!
I won't be able to hit any of the american sites until I get home from work in 11 hours... Stupid filters block everything but this site (wtf?), wikipedia, and google...
EDIT: I forgot I have a smart phone to access TFW >.>
I hope somebody there is nice enough to get one for me, lol.

And let the scalping begin!
Congratulations to whoever is responsible for not getting the imax footage released up here in canada btw. You've certainly made not buying this movie on release day easier. I think I'll be waiting for a sale or the announcement of a special edition at this point.

Re: Confused with the different version of the ROTF DVD/Blu-Ray...
Scalping already... I hope nobody is dumb enough to buy from those criminals!
This is still just ridiculus... I can't imagine WHY we always get screwed. One of the rumors that Paramount Canada couldn't get the rights to distribute it up here. I'm sorry, but it's f#cking SAD when the company who OWNS something doesn't have the rights to it..
I may be overreacting, or it may be the fact that I got no sleep last night, but this has just ruined my week...

Re: Confused with the different version of the ROTF DVD/Blu-Ray...
I made a thread on the TFW Want forum asking if somebody could pick one up. I also threw in there that other Canadians might want in on it as well. So if you want, maybe head over and bump the thread and maybe somebody will get one for you guys too at a decent price.

Re: Confused with the different version of the ROTF DVD/Blu-Ray...
That really sucks about IMAX not being available in Canada .
On a side note, I just got back to my office after getting a copy from Futureshop. Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it seems that the case is being sold for $0.01 as a seperate item on your receipt. Although they say you can only purchase the case when you get the blu-ray, you might be able to return just the movie since they are seperate items. (for those who are looking to get just the case from Futureshop and the Imax version from Wal-mart....in the states )

Re: Confused with the different version of the ROTF DVD/Blu-Ray...
So are these IMAX parts on the deleted scenes of the regular release?
And can one edit out other scenes to make the movie better? That would be a cool feature
