Transforming MP-5 Megatron
well, I've had Masterpiece Megatron for over a year now and not transformed him...figure it's bout time
The only thing is, I'm concerned I'll break something...the toy seems pretty fragile. Are there any trouble spots I should be careful around?

Re: Transforming MP-5 Megatron
It might feel wobbly but it's actually pretty sturdy. The waist/torso unit is something freaky to extend but it shouldn't break.

Re: Transforming MP-5 Megatron
I took mine out of the box remembering all the horror stories from others about arms snapping and what not...I said screw it its a transformer and I'm going to transform it, sure it took some time because the instructions suck but I had no problem. You just have to really press or pull some parts to attach or seperate things.

Re: Transforming MP-5 Megatron
Some of his leg stuff is pretty stiff. I had trouble the first time I transformed him because around his knees it gets pretty intricate and though the instructions told me to bend them I had to put a surprising amount of force into getting them to move. I was pretty convinced for a while that his legs did not bend one way when in actuality they did. Basically just follow the instructions and don't be afraid to use some effort... just not too much effort.

Re: Transforming MP-5 Megatron
I would recommend watching one of the "how to" videos on youtube.com or the like. MP Megs was the first TF that really kicked my A$$. It took me the better part of an hour and I doubt I will do it again (his current pose is just too perfect!)
Have fun!

Re: Transforming MP-5 Megatron
My trouble spot were the die cast bars that hold across his shoulders in the back. I snapped one side when trying to disconnect his shoulders.
I don't even transform him anymore....too scared!! lolzz!!

Re: Transforming MP-5 Megatron
You should always grab the toy near the joint you're trying to work on. Too far and it creates too much leverage and it might break off.

Re: Transforming MP-5 Megatron
It's like G1 Megatron, but a little more involved. Popping the shoulders out is tricky. Also when folding the arms up you have to slide the black connector piece (between bicep and forearm) up or down, be careful there too.
