Considering he was just released in Japan try being patient, there are those of us who preordered this MONTHS ago and are probably further up the line to get it than you are :P

Should be within the next couple of weeks.

They're never ultimately sure when the item will arrive. That's why they give estimates. Even if you ask them personally they'll just say the same thing. "should be soon"

I said I paid for it sept 13th.
Paid for it, not ordered it.

I am patient, just wondering if any boardies have had much luck with an update from a3u.

Maybe harder to read from "further up the line"
;-p

Prowl just got released yesterday in Japan, so I wouldn't expect A3U to get their stock until late next week, if lucky. Thats just my guess, based on my last preorder with them.

From my understanding, and experience with A3U's online store, they send payment requests to customers on preorder items, before the item is usually officially released. They sent me my Tomy Metroplex invoice on the 11th of this month, and he just got released in Japan yesterday, so I expect A3U will get him next week, or after, depending on their supplier.

In case anyone is interested, A3U has this info about payments in regards to preorders found in their FAQ page.

Quote:
You do not need to pay for your preorder up front when you chose the preorder payment option. When we are notified that this item will be shipping to us soon (could be up to a month before we receive the item in question) we will be sending out an invoice for your order.

Re: Ages 3 and up - Masterpiece Prowl

I have never seen any real issues with our friends at A3U, but I can confirm that as soon as they get word from the Manufacturer that they have a definite date of ship, they send out the preorder payment requests. Takara confirmed that they were shipping out MP-17 starting Today/Monday during the first week of September, so it makes sense that you would get a pay request then.

Be patient... The guys at A3U are trustworthy and will send you your Prowl after they receive it.

Agreed with others. I have also paid for my prowl from a3u and have no worries. They've always come through in spades for me and their customer service is top notch. Spent an hour chatting with the guys in there last summer and they are true fans themselves

Hmmm...
None of this secrecy from a3u makes any sense to me.

I work for a wholesale importer and deal with foreign freight companies and customs daily.

China, India and Korea mostly.

I know within 3 days when anything is coming in.
I just can't imagine how a3u could be as in the dark as they seem to be.

I have also been really disappointed with their customer service.
I suppose it seems this is more the exception than the rule however.

No it always seems like whoever deals with the online portion either never works, or works 1 day a week, or rarely checks e-mails, or never checks the website message system.
Of any online retailer I've had the worst communication experience with them.
When you call the store about stuff they don't ever seem to know anything either.
