Leonard Nimoy As Galvatron
It's a shame that they couldn't get Leonard Nimoy's talents for the voice of Galvatron for the rest of the series. I am not bashing Frank Welker, but I think Nimoy's voice fit perfectly for Megatron reborn.

Re: Leonard Nimoy As Galvatron
I disagree. I prefered Welker's insane version of Galvatron. The movie version sounded too much much like Mr. Spock going through Pon Farr withdrawl...

I imagine that someone like Nimoy would be pretty expensive to keep around though.

Re: Leonard Nimoy As Galvatron
LOL, good one. I dunno, both voices are awesome. Well, I'd rather Nimoy than Robert Stack as Ultra Magnus, I was waiting for him to say "Autobots....tune for more true stories on "Unsolved Mysteries", LOL!

Re: Leonard Nimoy As Galvatron
To be honest, I really do think that Welker's Galvatron makes him sound like a wimp. I think Nimoy's voice made him sound a little more intimidating.

Re: Leonard Nimoy As Galvatron
I found Nimoy very jarring. I liked the growl he had, but it lacked range. Welker's voice was much better.

Re: Leonard Nimoy As Galvatron
I like Welker's voice more after re-watching s3 recently, but I found the higher tones he used irritating for a long time. Not so much now, and it does fit Galvatron's post-lava bath madness quite well. Although "This is bad comedy" wouldn't work in that voice.
Man I would have loved Robert Stack as Magnus for the rest of the series, though the VA they had did a good impersonation.

Like you said, it depends on the voice fitting the character, and Nimoy was amazing as the Megs reborn, very intimidating.
Galvatron's character changed very much after he was tortured by Unicron and then plasma bathed. For an insane Galvatron, Nimoy wouldn't have been as good, that's where Welker outperformed himself.

Too bad this other Vulcan wasn't around, he would have made an excellent insane Galvatron
