5 minutes before I posted, it was not available/active.
Last night, when I checked stocktrack, in-store quantities were getting populated and on-line quantity showed “6”.

I got my order in. Will see if it comes through, or if I get cancelled.

Just to follow up... Received Blaster today.
Packed in big bubble wrap but still the box is not very minty. Just glad to have the figure... Will see if the quality is any better than the SDCC version I have.

Curious that the walmart.ca warehouse would have seemed carry such a small quantity and for such a short time.

Also curious that the in-store supply barely lasts a day...

All the early releases followed the same pattern: a small amount of stock shows up in stores at first, and then a larger amount of stock shows up in stores 2 to 3 months later. Online stock tends to be hit-and-miss until after the second wave of stock shows up in stores, with Autobots being easier to find than Decepticons.


Astrotrain was a notable exception, likely due to COVID-19 disrupting the supply chain. I don't think he got a second wave of stock and thus he was very hard to find in Canada.

Ya I never did manage to get an Astrotrain, although there are a lot of eBay right now.

If you don't care about which release of Astrotrain, the previous reissue is somewhat available, at about the same price as the recent Walmart reissue.
I ended up doing that, and got one for about $80, I think.

Is Astrotrain supposed to be hard to find? I got one weeks ago on sale and I saw him again at two different TRUs yesturday and he's still in stock and on sale on the TRU website.
