Transformers Generation 1 Back on Television?
According to the Globe and Mail Transformers Generation 1 may be coming to Teletoon Retro. If this happens get ready to watch your favourite episodes all over again!

Re: Transformers Generation 1 Back on Television?
Neat... but with the DVD sets out there, not that excited to watch it on TV. Here is hoping that we see more of the 80's cartoons show up. Come on Thundercats, GI Joe, Silverhawks, MASK, etc!!

I agree with jourdo. I have all the DVDs but it would be nice to see some other 80's toons.

Ditto, would be awesome if they did like a TF/Joe back to back thing as I wouldn't mind seeing Joe again as I was never into it enough to buy those DVD sets.

I have the complete G1 series on DVD (Rhino) but still will watch them on TV. Excellent news! Thundercats, GI Joe, Silverhawks should be there too.

Re: Transformers Generation 1 Back on Television?
I haven't been able to find the box sets on DVD, so Teletoon Retro showing the series is awesome. Sure beats Youtube.

Re: Transformers Generation 1 Back on Television?
Hm. Can anyone give me any info on what exactly teletoon retro is? When is this going live? Is it a second teletoon channel or just a part of the regular channel we have now?

Currently the DVD sets are "out of print" so to speak thus making this an excellent oppurtunity for lots of folks to see this and generally increase Transformers appeal to the masses.
I'm very pleased Teletoon Retro is bringing this back to TV. I can only take so much Scooby Doo.

Re: Transformers Generation 1 Back on Television?
To be fair, it never really occured to me that people wouldn't have the G1 series in some form. I had old crappy avi's before the DVD's came out. There is also that Chinese bootleg version circulating. I will only get excited if they bring back the cybernetic space cube (or whatever the hell it was called).

It is separate from the regular teletoon. I'm not sure if it is part of basic services or not, but it is essentially showing old school cartoons.

... and Bugs Bunny, and Road Runner, and Super Friends, and Rocky & Bullwinkle, and Woody Woodpecker,... did anyone mention Scooby Doo yet?
