If Hasbro would try to make them closer to Masterpiece quality, the increasing prices wouldn't be so bad. But overall the quality is going down. So for me, unless there's a very cool Soundwave or Shockwave design in the future, I'm done with the WFC line.

Re: Walmart.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion
Well I guess there was a dip after Siege and I'm not collecting BW characters, but everything I've picked up seems consistent in quality. To each their own I guess. Either way the price increase sucks.

Re: Walmart.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion
The BW stuff is a little fragile but that feels like it's an issue of the bots needing to be smaller/skinnier with lots of tabs and light joints. Most of the full-fat G1-style bots still feel relatively beefy and sturdy to me.
Meanwhile maybe it's just the paranoid in me, but it's now day 2 since I managed to sneak in my Headmaster wave 2 order and its status hasn't moved from the initial one upon receiving the order (ie no indication that it's processing or prepped for shipment even though the expected delivery time quoted is next week) and it's starting to make me fear for a "whoops, we don't have stock enough to fill it so hang tight and we'll sort you out when we get a fresh batch on the 5th of Never."
I know Walmart doesn't have a track record of doing that sort of thing like TRU does, but I'm a worrier by nature, no matter how silly the topic is.

lol prime wars was great quality. It was doing a DIFFERENT thing; namely, every deluxe had to be four things. Terrific updates of G1 combiners and a modern scramble city system. Were there issues? Sure!
This line of thought is so silly. Every single TF line has QC issues. All of generations. FOC. Prime Wars. WFC has been FAR from exempt, and has had some chronic and awful issues including the Datsun bros windscreens regularly snapping, Hoist's pegs snapping off, SkyTread not being able to properly transform because of weird tabs you need to shave off, etc.
Redecos? Absolutely piles in both lines, maybe even worse in WFC.
I get that people may personally PREFER WFC in terms of its aesthetics and styling. Fine!

Titans Return was one of my favourite lines of all time. POTP was more or less a repeat of Combiner Wars and a let down as a result. Wasn't really pushing things forward and the mold re-use was tiring. I did the like the dinobots, but Grimlock wasn't great.
Thanks to POTP, I was going to quit. WFC pulled me back in, Earthrise was nudging me out a little, and Kingdom is now the best of the three so far. I keep saying the prices are going to push me out but I stick around... now, though, with space at home being limited and costs becoming so extreme I think I'm going to have to bow out. I know I'm planning on selling off 1/3 of my collection in the coming weeks.
