Re: The Transformers VENTING Thread
I really dislike the re-use of names.
Are they they same character, or not?
Wasn’t Sandstorm an Autobot?
Is it so difficult to make up another name?

Distribution.
Really, I probably would have collected a fairly full line of characters from the War for Cybertron series if I could be fairly certain that all of them would be more readily available.

Re: The Transformers VENTING Thread
The Canadian dollar is making toys too damn expensive.
$19.99 in the US vs $29.99 for Deluxes in Canada. Just a few years ago, Delxues went up from 16.99 to 19.99, then there was a price jump to 29.99 when they put them in a half empty box instead of a blister pack.

This mostly has to do with trademark issues.
It costs money to get/make/retain trademarks. They also only generally last for 5 years and require renewal. So sometimes it is just easier to slap an existing name on another toy/character to save the trademark even if it makes no sense.

Re: The Transformers VENTING Thread
I’m getting really peeved at review/transformation video in which the demonstrator mainly uses general non-descriptive instructions.
“Turn this, and rotate that into there like that... Then this here goes into there, and that flips into this here...”
Not even an attempt at specifics.

Yeah... The trademark thing makes sense — not sure which came first: Triple Changer Autobot Sandstorm or G2 Decepticon Seeker Sandstorm. But at the very least they could have left Autobot names as Autobots and Decepticon names as Decepticons.

And what's up with reviewers and their gangly coke-ified nails? Damn, that shit is naaaasty.

The Walmart exclusives have been a Royal pain You literally have to live in a walmart waiting for stock guys to bring pallets of boxes that just might contain the figure you're looking for and hopefully before your not so friendly neighborhood scalper snatches them all up. It's no way to collect.

Re: The Transformers VENTING Thread
Distribution and cost. Hasbro should really stop making main characters exclusives like the coneheads

Fun Fact, Beast Wars Ironhide (the elephant) is the same character as G1 Ironhide.
he was even featured in the most recent Beast Wars comic.
