Transformers: The Complete Series DVD Set
So I was looking on amazon and there was this Transformers: The Complete Set for sale.
http://www.amazon.ca/Transformers-Co...461406&sr=8-18
I tried to do some google-ing about the content but that wasn't helpful.
Would you guys recommend this if I wanted the complete G1 series? Is there something "More" complete that includes bot G1 and G2 as well or just another box set that offers more content?
Thanks guys!

Re: Transformers: The Complete Series DVD Set
This was the limited first release "25th Anniversary Matrix of Leadership Edition" from 2009. I bought it from Costco for $99 using my Costco rebate so it was practically free.
The limited edition is now disco and since then had been repackaged into this.

Same # of disc, only not in a giant Matrix box. I think it's also missing the episode guide and the Bot and Con insignia fridge magnet.

Re: Transformers: The Complete Series DVD Set
This might sound stupid but any chance it'll get released on blu-ray? I HIGHLY doubt it, but i'm not exactly up to date with these things so thought I'd throw it out there.

Re: Transformers: The Complete Series DVD Set
Matrix set came with 2 large magnets 1 decepticon,1 autobot in Black/white and a booklet (episoid guide in color)box itself is a nice display case with fold out flaps with G1 optimus on silver background and box bottom Inside white outline of Megatron I found the quality as good or better than the Japanese/chinese(wooden box and presentation box sets) release a few years back much better than the tampered episoide's from rhino well worth the money to pick it up if you can find it,.. disc's are packed with extra's including a rare interveiw with original cast, toy commercials, etc best set I have seen in a long time.

Re: Transformers: The Complete Series DVD Set
Yeah, what he said, G2 was the G1 cartoon with "3d" intros and scene-changes replacing the animated scene changes from the G1 series. To the best of my knowledge G2 has never been sold on DVD.
I have the Matrix set, but if I were buying it now, I would go for the cheaper complete series.

Re: Transformers: The Complete Series DVD Set
I've seen the complete series at walmart for $70. It's not the matrix edition tho.
