Re: FIFA World Cup 2014

It was a good game but the Dutch came up short.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014

That played out pretty much how I expected. Neither team seemed willing to push too much, particularly the Dutch. Penalties are always a crap shoot. Just hope Brazil doesn't feel much up to playing on Saturday.

Go Germany, I guess!

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014

Kinda disappointing but Argentina is a really good team. I missed the end of overtime and the shoot out as the internet in London when down.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014

Where was Van Persie, Robben, Sjnider when Netherlands needed them the most? I was expecting a Netherlands/Germany finals. But either way, Germany is taking it this year, sorry Messi, Germany is too strong

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014

I haven't really been that impressed with the Germans this tournament. They had impressive beatdowns on uninspired Brazil and Portugal teams, but their other games were all very close. Argentina has played exceptional defence all tourney long, I don't see why they wouldn't have just a good a shot as Germany does in the Final. Especially with DiMaria back and Aguero seeming to be able to handle subbing in late as well.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014

I'm calling it now. Messi will win the World cup for my #2 team Argentina with the hand of god.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014

Van Persie has been fairly lackluster... I think they should have had Huntelaar playing more.

I'm not really sure who I'm cheering on for the Final... probably Germany. It would be more dramatic. I hope it's a good match.

I'm expecting the 3rd place game on Saturday will be more interesting than the Final.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014

3rd place game are pointless. But I guess Brasil got something to prove.

I like Huntelaar. He was awesome at Ajax but was mostly used at Madrid and Milan. I hope he gets to play a full game on Sat.
