Bought it today for 360 as well, from BestBuy. Going to wait a few days and see what people think of it. I let my Gold account lapse, I don't use it enough to justify the price, so if multiplayer ends up being THE reason to own the game I'll probably return it. Still, $40 is a good price.

Got my copy from Wal Mart today. I'm glad I went only because only 3 copies, including mine were left.

So, what's different between all the various versions except for the exclusive characters? Isn't the game the same?

Re: What system will you buy WFC for?

Campaign is AWESOME!!! Though my game kept freezing on me, dunno if it was the disc. Since I bought one from EB and BB I swapped discs since I am returning the EB one for full credit anyways.

Post in here if anyone else has had the same problem...

I'm not a gamer...at all. But I may pick this up in the fall for the Wii to pass a few cold winter nights by.

I'll post my PC vs. Console impressions tonight. Here's to playing at 1920x1200!
Downloaded on Steam for $39 today.

So far the game looks great at 'better than HD' resolutions, and runs butter smooth. No matter how much action is going on, there is no slowdown. Sounds great and plays in surround sound.

One annoyance: there is no way to remap the controls. I'm sure this will be addressed in a patch as the functionality looks like it's there, but it just doesn't do anything. This didn't affect me as I use a programmable keypad and mouse, so I just set up a new profile, but it would have been nice to do it the other way around. There are other ways around it, but not being able to remap keys on a PC game is a joke.

The PC port looks good. It's butter smooth, the game controls great with the keyboard and mouse (flying gets a bit crazy!), and the game looks fantastic at 1920x1200 on high detail. Very sharp! Load times are so fast you almost don't notice it's happening.

I can recommend the PC version if you have the horsepower. It runs perfectly on my machine, but I do have a pretty burly system.

*Edit: Just read that the framerate is locked at 30fps. This seems to be a problem for some people, but it doesn't seem to bother me. YMMV
