I know I originally said OP has no business opening the boxes, nobody does since they're not supposed to... but I do it too lol. Difference is I try to do it secretly so employees don't see me doing it, and if I got caught by an employee and they told me to put it back, guess what? I'd put it back and walk the fuck away because I got caught doing shit I wasn't supposed to lol. I definitely wouldn't argue with them or take the "issue" to CS.

Yeah I don't really see it being a big deal. I've never been turned down at my tru when asking about a box in the back.

I think the OP should file a complaint with Toys R Us' head office about employees just doing their job without trying to be harassed by entitled toys collectors, just so the people at head office can laugh at him.
