Re: Online Shopping

Competitive pricing which also leads to combined shipping (pile of loot type system). I don't mind if they don't get new product first but it shouldn't be that long after the fist place that gets them.

Customer service is also important.

Re: Online Shopping

I like being able to sort through the entire stock of an particular item and pick out the one with the best paint applications, spot any mispacks, mismoulds or broken pieces.

Unfortunately online stores don't let me do that.

I'd gladly pay more in an actual physical store for the luxury of being able to see the item I'm going to buy. Also, going out on the 'hunt' is kinda fun.

As a last resort, if there's something I really, REALLY want that I can only find online. I'll buy it if the online store has got it.

Re: Online Shopping

I see we all have a general idea on the "Ideal" online store, but just to get a little more in depth, how fair is fair pricing? if an item is $3.00 retail is considered fair? Is flat rate shipping even a bonus? If a website has $10.00 flat rate shipping is that considered a good thing? and what about selection? Can you have a decent online store with 100 products? Please let me know. =)

Flat rate shipping is an awesome thing in my opinion. It really makes placing a big order worth your time.

With regards to "fair" pricing... you are never going to get 100% agreement on this. I would say a few bucks above retail is pretty decent. It would all really depend on what your costs were. You do need to turn a profit afterall to make it work.

Otherwise I would agree with others that decent price, decent selection, up to date products, decent shipping costs and good communication are all part of the ideal package.
