BTW, judging from the pic, gun mode looks to be very close 1:1 scale to a real Walther P38....The thing about Meg is that his chest and shoulders are parts of the gun's slide and his collar is part of the barrel and ejection port. So that very much determine his scale if his gun mode is to be designed as authentic as possible.

Anyone know when the next big toy event in Japan is? Tokyo Toy Show and Wonderfest already happend. All Japan Model & Hobby Show is happening September 23-25 but it's mostly for model kits and Takara's usually not part of it.

If this is real, I'm buying. So far, this is the only "MP" Megatron that has caught my attention. All the others have proportion issues or other nit picks that bothered me enough to not commit. Hopefully he includes the barrel extension and stock so that the gun mode actually looks like toon Megs and not the just the pistol part. All 3rd party compagnies seem to have forgotten about that.

Hmmmm.... and here I was flip-flopping back and forth between Despotron and Mightron only to have this wrench tossed into the mix.

I'm interested to see how this plays out, don't care if it's legit Takara or another 3rd party, but I'm not sold on this prototype. I for one don't think the proportions are as might as well, Mightron. This new entry's head is either slightly too big compared to its torso or the torso isn't big enough compared to the head vice-versa. The crotch seems a little too busy with whatever those zig zag lines are.... I would've preferred one of the other cleaner designs.

Also.... what's up with the flacid gun barrel in pistol mode? LOL That should get fixed, I would hope...



Ideally, if we had the legs of this rumored Takara MP, the upper torso and head of Mightron, and the arms, hands and engineering design of Despotron, THAT would make the definitive MP Megatron
