Re: The thing that annoyed you most in Beast Machines
"By Primus, they're firing at us! Let us run away and hide!"
That, and having to re-learn to use one of their race's primary abilities.
Why didn't more Transformers return to Cybertron during the series?
What was with the missing time between the end of BW and the start of BM?
How did Waspinator get back to Cybertron?
What is with all the plot holes and loose ends?
What was up with Noble "surviving" the extraction process?
Why was Hasbro reusing unreleased Animorph figures to fill out the toyline when they didn't seem to match? (Savage-Noble is a prime example, definitely sourced from Animorphs, just like the Mutants)
Where was the matrix during all of this?
That being said, Beast Machines got me back into Transformers way more than Beast Wars since it had transforming vehicles. So it did have some redeeming qualities.
Of the topics above, I think the one that bothered me the most was having to re-learn to transform. I mean, that is one of the primary abilities of a race of TRANSFORMers. I mean, if they can be hit by transmetal waves, infused with another spark, and dumped into a pit of lava and STILL manage to transform, why can't they after simply being "reformatted"?
In close second would be the lack of the Maximals retaliating with ranged weapons. And no, the plant things don't count.
