I am totally going to eat at Pushap after.

But yeah, looks like we just became the 2nd largest convention in Montreal last night, over 550 people confirmed and still rising.

To give you an idea, the average Toycon is 300 or less, Mini Comic Con has about 1000-1500. (Which is part of the MTL Comic Con brand)

At this rate.....................................

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

So I got the Twintwist I ordered off Ebay but having it in hand I don't think I'll go with my Thunderblast custom idea... the toy just feels way too loose, the tabs are annoying and a bunch of stuff just wants to pop off at the merest touch.

It also doesn't stand up very well and getting to the head to paint it is gonna be a paint because of the panel it's own.

Man that FOC Bruticus molds...really not that great huh? ><

Maybe laer I'll feel like doing that.

Gun is super fun though

^ for loose joints future floor polish should solve it... and maybe tabs? Not sure but it's worth trying.

Also should I paint the hips of rage red? man this is becoming too much work now. well worth it though.

I dunno, it feels like too much work to put into a mediocre figure :/

I think I'll hold off on a custom Thunderblast in case Arcee and Chromia show up at Winners? I got my Arcee headed Knock Out to work on for now. Haven't settle on a name for her. Maybe Vyper or Scales?

Ha! I was going to ask you why you went through all the trouble of opening him up! Was it just to make it easier to paint? Seems like a lot of work.

Looks great in white. Too bad the "fin" shapes on his shoulders are only molded in, not actually shaped that way. You should paint under the edge of the fin shape gold to match the rest of his arms.

I'd totally go for the red on the reverse side... just look at the Takara version to see how it looks in combined mode.

Bummer... my Twin Twist is actually pretty tight, though I agree that mold doesn't like to stand up.

If Scales... Gobot homage?

Diamondback? Copperhead? Snakebite? Cold Slither (GIJoe reference)?

I forgot to ask... are the shoulders made out of an easily-paintable plastic? They kind of look and feel like that softer, tougher stuff that paint hates to stick to...
