I think secret messages and misdirection would undermine one of the fundamental reasons this site exists.

Let's face it, scalpers are a fact of life in most hobbies, so there's no way to ever stop them completely, but we could beat them at their own game. For example, of one of us walks into a store and sees a bunch of a high demand item, then buy multiples and pass them along to other members at cost. It helps out fellow collectors, and you could make a new friend or two along the way.

If we want to make a difference, let's put our money where our mouths are.

There are a bunch of us that do large group buys and then we get called scalpers as well when leaving with 5-8 of the same figure. Even though we are selling to other members with busy lives.

While it's not technically scalping, I have serious reservations about the idea of any one person being able to buy out the entire store inventory of a high demand product, making it impossible for anyone else to walk in and buy it for themselves. The end result is the same either way.
