Is WFC/FOC dead?

Just curious..

With the relative failure of Rise of the Dark Spark and the questionable nature of High Moon Studios, have we basically seen the peak of Transformer gaming come to pass?

Anyone know if there are any plans to continue this timeline in any future games?

I wish I had info...I did some web research a few months back on high moon and nothing indicated there would be a comeback, but frankly I'm baffled there wasn't a solid business case to keep going with this sub franchise...

Was it piracy? Lack of demand?

I for one am a huge fan and would gladly vote with my wallet for more.

Simply put they are the best Transformers games, period. Plus, I think they set a very high standard cinematically when compared to a certain movie director. I think High Moon "Gets it" when it comes to the franchise...like TF Animated, there was passion poured into the product and I would love to see it return.

rise of the dark spark was the worst idea they could have had. A lot of the people who were into WFC etc were into it for a relief from the constant mess of the movie. Mixing the two, a lot of their fans left.

I agree with all statements above. I never played rise of the dark spark. Brr-icy hit the nail on the head for why that is.

If the reviews had been even decent, I would have caved and gotten it eventually though.

My dark spark quit working no scratches
Thought it was my ex box then tried it in my other ex box
And no go
The thing is that I couldn't bring it back because I had the game from when it came out and I don't think I could have just recently it stopped working and I didn't even complete story mode so just my experience with that game

Well seeing as how High Moon didn't have much to do with the new game (Other than having all their assets pilfered for an internally developed movie tie in game)... And they had a huge staff cut after the Deadpool game they made... Well I wouldn't hold my breath but boy would I love for them to come back and keep working on the series. I really loved WFC and FOC and still play FOC quite regularly. I think if we could get another game out of them with the solid story and level design of FOC with the local coop of WFC I would be buying it day one!

I had an inside scoop from a very reliable source that High Moon before the Bayverse take over had a Dark Ages Cybertron story arc in the works. It was suppose to be their third of a trilogy of games. I would hope that that was not abandoned but if licensing have been stopped we will not see any of it. Sad day indeed.
