Do you mean right out of the package?

Make sure the tab parts on the arm are vertical instead of horizontal. It can only go in that way, and requires a whole lot of force.

Probably took me 10 minutes to finally get it in with that satisfying click. It isn't coming out after that.

Found a small QC issue with mine. The hinge pin for his right-hand fingers didn't make it all the way in. There's about 1/2 a finger's thickness sticking out yet. I've never dealt with pins before, can I just tap it in the rest of the way easily enough?

both my metro's have them in horizontally. they wouldn't go in the other way. there was simply no room to accommodate the tabs.

can you show a pic of the inside on your chest so i can see how your tabs are connected?

It should be easy enough. Just go slowly and carefully. Well, as slowly and carefully as you can by while hammering it in.
