Shout Factory Beast Wars Sets Won't Be Released In Canada

who knows. we might still get it in stores here because remember the matrix boxset was originally limited and you had to buy from their site.. piss me off i paid from the site like $200 and saw it later that year in bestbuy etc for $99.....

i know its different but maybe.

im glad i hated the series so i could care less

but I do hope those that do want it can get it.

I was hoping to get the boxset as well. The extras on the Matrix of Leadership edition were very nice. And I'd love to see the Beast Wars stuff.

Since Shout doesn't have the rights to release it here in Canada, no retailers up here will get it.

Amazon.ca tends to import some stuff from the US, which is why all of my Blu-rays I pre-order from amazon.ca have zero french on the cover (sorry guys )

Luckily, I have a friend whose parents live in the US, so I will be buying it and sending it to them, and when she goes down to visit them in July, she will bring it back for me

Nowhere does it state "war" as the reason to not get the DVDs. Rights issues are complicated.

People whining about "ZOMG IT'S BECAUSE IT HAS WAR IN THE NAME" are clearly forgetting the Season 1 release that Giant Tiger got last year.

In fact, I STRONGLY suspect this has more to do with Beast Wars' DVD release not coming out here than anything else.
