Re: Post Your Christmas Hauls

Aren't we jumping the gun just a little, call me sentimental but presents should be opened on Christmas Day not Christmas Eve. Unless it's one special present like back when we were kids, though with all the limited gifts we tend to get as the years go onward I prefer to save them all for the next morning.

Show of hands, who still get's anxiously excited Christmas Eve night, so much so that falling asleep is a real chore?

Re: Post Your Christmas Hauls

It's european tradition to open presents on Christmas eve and Christmas day is for the big dinner.

As for my hauls thus far I've gotten universe Blaster and an iPod touch which I'm writting on right now! Works pretty good.

Re: Post Your Christmas Hauls

I normally receive presents from only 2 people: my brother and my girlfriend.

From my brother: we've mutually decided to save ourselves the trouble and not get each other anything; each year, we just end up importing video games for each other and we all play everything anyways.

From my girlfriend: I haven't actually told her what I want. We've decided to not play the guessing game anymore, and we just ask what the other wants. Tempted to ask her to get me both volumes of the GaoGaiGar TV series anime DVD boxsets, though.

From myself: I'll probably end up plunking down $450 for an airbrush and a compressor in the coming days.

Re: Post Your Christmas Hauls

Are there even signs of there being any particularly good boxing day sales? That buy one get one 50% crap doesn't fly. I am in the market for a new laptop but something like (futureshopesque) $150 off a price that will be dropped $150 in late January isn`t my idea of an appealing sale.

Leader Bulkhead.
The Dark Knight DVD.
A bottle of Ballatine's.
Anodized aluminum frying pan.
Box o' Belgian chocolates.

I'm actually excited about the pan, its designed to both toss stuff (flip without a spatual) and can go directly into the oven. Sear then bake, the key to juicy meats.

Mmm meat.
