2011 Part Trading Party

Officially last year it started around 6pm, but it ran till WAAAY around 10-11pm. People were lingering for hours

I've never been to TFcon yet. How does the trading party work. lol, I understand how barter works. I just mean, are there tables you just wip up your stuff onto? Is the table space limited? or do we just start taking over floor space?

Additionally, I went to the tfcon website, and it basically says no selling (exchange of cash) at the trade partly, is how i read it (if your not a dealer).

But heres my hypothetical. Person A has a MP Thundercracker (Worth 150) that Person B wants. Person B only has 4 Alternators worth $100 that Person A wants. Is it ok for Person B to offer Person A $50 to cover the differnce.

Is the trade room even monitored in this way to prevent the exchange of Cash. Or am I just being dumb, and this is just the unspoken truth and is just done under the table anyways.

Also, whats the best way to present your stuff at the trade party? I figure it would be no differnt the if you are selling at a flea market, but again this is new to me.

I don't recall not being allowed to trade cash for stuff....cash was flying pretty fast and loose.
I just put my stuff on a table and people were like.."hey, I want that" or "cool, what ya want for it"
it was all pretty laid back and casual, I had a great time that night.

what are people generally trading for at this party? is it mostly g1 stuff? beast war stuff? anyone have big items? Wondering if its worth going to.

Everything you can shake a stick at.

There's people who doesn't have enough stuff to warrant the cost for even half a table. So it helps them get rid of stuff.

There's also those who brought too much and it helps them to get rid of stuff before the show starts.

It's the best time for people who have made arrangements for meetups for trades as well.
