Favorite Version of Megatron
So I picked up leader Animated Megatron today and I got to thinking about which version of the character I like more. I like G1 Megs because he is the original Megatron, but he is pretty much a cartoon super villain with his crazy schemes for world power and such. I still like him but he is at the bottom of my favorites list.
Then my next two favorites is the current IDW comics version of Megatron. I like him because he is less of the cartoonish super villain he is in G1 and seems more like a leader that commands more then just fear from his troops. He seems to have honest respect and ideals and goals he is working towards, like he has real goals other then his own quest for power. Same goes for Animated MEgatron, he seems less concerned with his own personal power and more so with the Decepticon cause. I am torn between these two, I really like both versions of Megatron.
So I was wondering what the rest of you think. What are your favorite versions of Megatron and why?

Re: Favorite Version of Megatron
I like Animated Megatron best, I don't know why. Theirs just something more to him than G1, yet he's not as crazed as the one in the Unicron Trilogy. Don't even ask me about the comics.

Re: Favorite Version of Megatron
Beast Wars Megatron. All his toy versions. Love him very much.
But without a doubt, the most FUN I have had with a Megatron was the original G1 version. Call me crazy but once in college I brought him there without his gun pieces and kept him hanging out of my pocket like a real gun (the hilt looks very real). All my friends got a kick out of it and we would freak out this teacher who we didn't like by just leaving him in gun mode on my desk in class. Yeah I am nuts, but this was before crazy shit like Columbine and the Dawson College shooting, it was clean fun back then.

Re: Favorite Version of Megatron
Toy wise, I like the Movie Megs and Animated Megs (Cybertron version), but for some reason I REALLY like the Cybertron Megs/Galvatron Mold. It's just really fun.

Re: Favorite Version of Megatron
My favourite Megatron character? Probably the original one but even as a kid thought that the leader of the Decepticons turning into a gun that needed to be aimed and fired was lame....and honestly I've never owned nor played with a G1 Megatron so I can't say how fun the toy is :P
I like the Masterpiece Megatron I recently got but I thought Energon Megatron was pretty cool (maybe because he was designed after Galvatron who I prefer over Megatron so I thank the higher ups at Hasbro that repainted him in appropriate Galvatron colours!)

Re: Favorite Version of Megatron
BW Megs, hands down.
I mean, who doesn't like to take the chance in calling the leader of the Predacons, Barney? :P
Plus, how can you not like a guy who takes baths with a rubber ducky?

Re: Favorite Version of Megatron
G1 Megatron. The original and still the best. Even by today's standards he still has an intricate transformation and he rocks in both modes. Next would be MP Megatron.
