True? False? Needs more research? Full of bologna?

Well, first we'd have to find out if those same adults were violent as children. If not, then give them some candy as adults and see if that levels them out. They may just be raging from sugar fits.

Society has always been trying to point its finger at "that one cause".

In the past it was comic books, films, television, video games, sugar, lack of sugar, ADD / ADHD, drugs, boredom, etc. that were each blamed for violent behaviour.

In reality no two people are alike. Sure, a certain number will have been influenced by any one of those things I've listed. But of those, many would have been triggered or affected later in life by something else.

Violent behaviour in adults has been noticed for centuries. A high sugar diet for children, however, is fairly recent. It may have caused changes in a few people, but for the most part I don't think that it really makes a difference in the grand scheme of things.

Go with "More research."

Time Magazine sucks. NEVER use these kind of papers for your sources, if you can.Read something in psych/soc/anthropological journals if you want to focus on this. At least read the original study and see what it says. Often these studies find correlation, which fine media outlets like Time and Newsweek and The USA Today and MAD Magazine take to mean causation, and repeat it as such. BIG difference.
