Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

Those prices...
Man, do people pay these or is this yahoo out to lunch?

http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/clt/4733251600.html

TRU mp-10 Optimus Prime. Case fresh. No shelf wear. Gradeable. Misb. $400.

Takara mp-2 ultra magnus. Case fresh. No shelf wear. Gradeable. Misb. $500 each. 3 available.

Takara mp-3 starscream. Case fresh. No shelf wear. Gradeable. Misb. $600 each.
3 available.

I have so many tfs I would sell if I thought I could get these kinds of numbers.
Same goes for the $200 MP soundwaves that are all of a sudden everywhere.

I sometimes think the pricing run up that correlated with the release of the baysformers films is inevitably going to die down sooner rather than later.
AOE made some bank in China but did not do a whole lot for toy sales, which the first two movies did.

Most of my figs I bought to keep, but a few I picked up with the intent of selling down the road.

I almost feel like the market is at the peak right now.

Anyone else?

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

IMO the only people who would pay those kinds of prices are those who know nothing about Transformers or have way too much disposable cash
Basically, the seller is delusional. I sort of agree that the secondary market has peaked. I have a hard enough time selling off my unwanted crap even at fire-sale prices. But they keep making Bayformer movies so we keep seeing these idiots who think they can make a quick buck off Transformers. If prices ever fall back to pre-movie levels it will be after they finally stop making these films and TFs return to more of a niche fanbase.

MARVEL STUDIOS ANNOUNCES FULL PHASE 3 SLATE AT SPECIAL EVENT

Wow. Just Woow. Gotta admit Marvel Studio's success in creating the MCU continuity. DC can't put their things together. Hasbro just wasted TF and G.I. Joe.

Well, Marvel has a lot going for it. First, they're making the movies themselves, so they have creative control, and I'm sure they use writers or give writers easy access to people who know the characters and universe in and out.

Second, they actually have a well thought out plan. And third, they get good directors that are willing to execute that plan. If they aren't, then it's bye-bye.

On a side note, if only this article about a Squadron Supreme move were true. http://hooksology.com/2014/08/06/mar...march-25-2016/

I think they're a brand new product, just announced a short while ago. They look pretty decent, they look like they're made of quality material, and I like the fact that they're somewhat official.

I read somewhere these are water transfer/slide-off decals, not stickers.

If so that's a lot of unnecessary aggravation. No thanks.

Also read the printing quality is pixelated. One of the close ups for the Prowl stickers didn't look very good at all. Word from Reprolabels is that these are unofficial, and not licensed by Hasbro. Considering MP Wheeljack's stickers have official company logos, I would lean on to believe that.

Hmm, well that's unfortunate if true.
