I originally had a set of Vintage Noiseless Pickups from a Clapton Blackie in my 95 MIM Std as their just outstanding with an excellent vintage tone. But in the end I wanted something with a bit more crunch so changed over to the Texas Specials.
Defiantly hang onto the Blackie thou because incase you are unaware, Fender some what recently raised their prices by 30% so I believe they now sell for around $2200cdn.
