Ok good to know. This is my first time with HLJ. Now, I did cancel it but that is ok because I have Hotrod coming. N-Y screwed up on my order and cancelled my Laswerwave which everyoen is sold out on. Thank the good lord that I was testing out HLJ and added Hotrod AND Laserwave to my cart. So I am good for Laserwave. Not to see what shipping will be. I heard HLJ charges more on figure but less on shipping, looking forward to finding out because I am always hunting for the lowest prices.

I paid fees on Ironhide and he was less than $90. Their is no certainty based on what is spent aside from purchases under $20 being exempt. Packages under $100 can be charged and those over can get a pass (I didn't pay fees for MP-22).

It's my thought that when lower value packages get dinged anyways that something drew the Customs Agents attention, this could be due to the agent themselves or something about the package that makes them go "hmmmm".

For my recent Ironhide shipment I'm pretty sure a sticker put over top of the product description on the stores label created uncertainty on what was inside which drew attention and the last thing you want is your package to draw attention regardless of its value.

Of course you can never help if some asshat is going to place a sticker in a manner that draws such attention.

The yen is on a slow rise so the deal is getting smaller compared to buying US.

Nope. US and Canadian sellers will just jack up their prices even more.

HLJ just got paid for my Roddy!!!

<Dirty undertones intended>

Actually looking forward to this guy. I Plan on displaying him atop my Detolf with Apollyon putting him in a sleeper hold, purple Prime-killer pistol aimed, as my Hasbro MP-10 tries to get a clear shot in vain.

I pray to Primus some 3P company makes a yellow lightsaber and shield with a Auto-combatant training bot as an add-on. Fishing rod will probably stay sealed on the tray.

This all bodes extremely well for the future of the Masterpiece line. Think about it... the size and scale of this and it's NOT based on a real world car... which is what this size/scale has often been referred to as, means it's now much more likely to get Kup, Blurr, Arcee, and the mini bots like Brawn and Cliffjumper.

But screw AE for being slow. I want my toy.

How are they being "slow"? Has anyone actually shipped anything? You can take someone's money and generate a label a week in advance to get it out of the way, that doesn't mean it has shipped or will ship ultimately faster.

The yen is what generates the price so going through western mark up isn't going to do you any favors.

N-Y has already started shipping, and its more than just generating a label. Mine has already left Japan.

I was just clarifying why there was a discrepancy in yen to cdn conversion on a previous post.
