Once again, from Takara Tomy Display at Shizuoka Hobby Show 2019, we can share more images of the new*Beast Wars Masterpiece MP-46 Blackarachnia. We finally have our first look at her spider beast mode. The spider mode looks very cartoon-accurate and keeping the proportions of the insect. The robot mode seems to be integrated, but with visible robot legs in her sides. Could it be another case of transformation mistakes? Lots of visible robot-mode parts in the best mode. I suppose that's inevitable given the fact that the robot mode was never really designed to transform (the original BA toy was a redeco of Tarantulus and looked almost completely different from her on-screen portrayal) but still disappointing. I guess that's just the result of the Masterpiece line's philosophy of pursuing screen-accuracy at all costs, even if one of those costs is good toy-enginnering.
I think shes mistransformed. The black parts of her legs likely rotate around to become part of the carapace.
Showed her botmode to the wife and she says ' kinda sexy, but creepy'... then i showed her bot mode, she dropped my phone. Definate buy.
