What's a complete set of Generation 1 comics worth?

Usually you can find the earlier editions 1 - 4 for around $10 to $15 each depending on condition.
All other issues up to the the final 10 are about $8 or so again depending on condition as well
The final ten issue where released in low publishing quantity so they are very hard to find. I have seen them go for $25 each. It can be very costly to get the entire set in the end. I too am looking to finish my collection.

Surprisingly little, with all the reprints that have been done. Condition is also a major factor, though the issues at the end of the run are worth more than the early issues, as they were printed in much lower numbers.

I'd say pick up the reprints in the IDW books, if you're buying to read them. If you really really want to have the original books, yeah, you're paying out the nose for them. That's just the NA stuff, mind you, the UK stuff will be even harder to complete, I think...

I had a guy ask me to make an offer and neither of us had a clue so I just left them. That was almost a year ago.

Other than a select few most can be found(not in mint condition) for $1-$2 each. If they are really well maintained I guess the price would be higher.

... has the last 8 issues in pristine condition, along with issue 1 and 80 in a special frame. LOve the last cover. #80 in a 4 issue limited series. PRICELESS!!!

Today I found a bunch of issues. I was able to pick up some of the ellusive 70s range. I got 71, 74 and 77.
I also picked up 67 and 69. Getting closer.
He wanted $20 each for the 70s range ones and $10 for the 60s. I talked him down to $65 for the lot.
