I have taken a few breaks over the years. I missed all of beast wars and RID. I got back into it with the g1 reissues, Unicron Triolgy,Alternators, MP 1 was the pinnacle. Then I bought a loft, had a kid and took a break from what was a lacklustre toy line. On a lark a few years ago I nabbed a Prime toy and that got me back into it. I discovered what I had missed with the Masterpiece line and third party MP figures were just starting to show (Quakewave), so I knew the direction my collection would take. That's why I have few Generations toys. I missed most of them and they just don't rev my engine like MP toys do.

I find it funny the you are starting to lose interest just as your collection has tripled. I say if it doesn't interest you then don't force it.

Absolutely this. They evoke sentimental emotion within me and bring me back to simple joys. I have moved past collecting for collecting's sake. If it isn't fun then don't do it.

Picked up the final Feral Con. Forgot all about this guy up until now and he is great. Feral Rex is a beast.

Congrats, Rev! Always an awesome feeling to complete a combiner. But why is there a 6th figure? Thought Predaking only had five members.

I suspect that the real reason is so that they could make more money with what is essentially a repaint.

However, there were really nice comics included with each figure. Each comic advanced a storyline in which Felisabre had a major role.

The third answer is that they created a combined "perfect mode" for the combined Feral Rex where Felisabre becomes the left arm and Talon moves to the back.

I bought it for a sense of completion but also because it came with a baggy of alternate faces, hooves, and a cute little penguin.
