Re: Movie Talk (Possible Spoilers)

I will say that while GotG2 was fun in it's own right, it wasn't as good as the first one. The only thing the 2nd did better than the first was pull at some heart strings for a tear jerker scene but otherwise the 1st was better overall.

On the Joker debate, I side with Ledger's protrayal as the better one. Leto's just seemed overly forced and lacked authenticity. Of course, it's all subjective to the eyes of the viewer, but from my perspective while Leto acted like Joker, Ledger personified Joker.

I agree with you, but the first Guardians is probably my favorite Marvel Studios movie other than Civil War, so while it's not as good as Vol. 1, it still is a great movie.

Saw Alien: Covenant this weekend. Better or easier to follow than Prometheus, but some actions taken by certain characters were stupid beyond belief. Didn't hate this chapter in the franchise, but definitely still doesn't do a good a job as the first 2 films.

Ridley Scott just ruined the whole ALIEN movies even more than Alien 3 and 4 and AVP. Prometheus made a big deal about the Space Jockey and then in Covenant, they are all completely killed off? And now you are telling me David created the Alien?

Re: Movie Talk (Possible Spoilers)

Wonder Woman is THE BEST DC Cinematic Universe film. Hands down.

It brings forth WW's greatest strength: Compassion. And that's why I actually cared and wanted her to win.

Hopefully further DC films follow suit. If the MCU has the action and humour, DC could really benefit from focusing on the humanity and compassion involved with superheroes.

Hopefully Joss Whedon is taking notes for Justice League...

Problem with that though is that Justice Leauge is in post production, so for all intents and purposes it's done.

It's not like Joss can step in and automatically make the film any better or worse than it might be.

Justice League can be a garbage fire for all I care, at least we got a decent Wonder Woman movie.

Ya seen WW on Saturday afternoon.

Was it perfect ? No. Was it terrible ? Definitely not.
Was it at least good ? Yes. Will I watch the sequel (if they make one)? Of course.

Overall I'd say they did a pretty good job making it. There are some slow parts but that's to be expected to tell the story. I'll probably even watch it again when it comes out on DVD/Blu-ray.
