Edmonton Pop Culture Fair

Edmonton Pop Culture Fair

Sunday, October 16, 2011
10AM to 4:30PM
Alberta Aviation Museum
11410 Kingsway Ave NW

The Pop Culture Fair is one of the biggest shows of its kind in western Canada. It’s more than a toy show, its more than a record show, it’s more than a comic show: it’s a combination of everything pop-culture. For well over a decade, it’s been a bi-annual event, held in the spring and the fall. With over 200 vendors from all over Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan together for just one day, it brings together collectors, enthusiasts, peers, and people of all kinds and like minds.

It's been $10 in the past or a donation for the food bank/santa anoyomous, whichever charity they are sponsoring. Last year they got an Ice Cream truck twins from me.

How does the pop culture fair compare to the edtoyshow? Ive been to the edtoyshow 2007-2009 and it just seamed to go down hill for me. Is the popculture fair worth driving 4 hrs 1 way?

It's a bit smaller, but many of the same vendors are there. The main diffrence is the edtoyshow has a bit more guests/lectures.

I find the best vendor is from FortMac, but only because that's the only time I can access his "store". There is way more random/old stuff at his oneas it covers way more than just comics/toys. I always find something to buy.
